Dog Aggression Rehabilitation
Working with aggressive dogs is one of our specialties. We have been working with and training aggressive dogs for many years with very good results. The program we use for your dog is created specifically for your dog based on information that you give us regarding the dog’s history from the time that it came into your home.
It is very common for aggressive dogs to have little or no obedience training, so we will be sure that you have all the tools to obedience train your dog. Obedience training is one of the main things that establishes you as the pack leader. Every dog needs a strong pack leader, so we will teach you how to become that person for your dog.
Our Rehabilitation Program for Aggressive Dogs is a four-lesson program. We will meet every other week and guide you through the obedience training as well as help you with behavior modification. Your job will be to train with your dog at least once a day in a 15-minute session.
Behavior Modification is important. Based on the information you give us about your dog, we are going to be able to create a behavior modification program that will help your dog understand it’s place in the pack. This is very important.
Throughout the four lesson program, we will be at your side and available seven days a week to answer any questions and help you understand why we are doing what we are doing. When your lessons are complete, we are still here. That’s right; we are then available to you 365 days a year to help anytime you need us.
You may have heard that once your dog starts showing aggression, it is too late. That is not true, and we have years worth of clients that will agree with us. It is true that not every dog can be rehabilitated, however.
We have found with years of experience that the biggest factor that controls your dog’s rehabilitation is you. That’s right; your dog needs to see you as the pack leader and give you respect. I know I mentioned it earlier, but it is so important that I am going to say it again. You need to work with your dog at least once a day for 15 minutes.
Here are some common types of aggression:
- People aggression
- Dog aggression
- Family aggression
- Food or Toy aggression
- Territorial aggression
- Redirected aggression
- Fear aggression
- and many more…
If you give us a call, we will be happy to answer all your questions about what can be done to help your dog become a happy member of the family once again.
